The Judicial Reform Foundation has reached its 20th anniversary. To give everyone wonderful memories, JRF carefully designed two small tokens: the "Ferris Wheel of Everlasting Love" and the "Multi-Purpose Judicial Reform Gavel," hoping to convey our expectations for the judiciary and our passion for reform. Let's learn together about the design concepts behind these two tokens and how to acquire them!

Ferris Wheel of Everlasting Love

Some say that life is a process of ups and downs.

Depending on where we are in our ups and downs, we see different scenery. When we reach the heights, we can see a whole forest; when we return to the lows, we have the time to closely examine the details of a single tree.

Yet what remains unchanged is that with highs come lows. When we have the opportunity to see the panoramic view, we must not forget the details; when we examine the details closely, we must not forget their place within the broader landscape or the full picture we once witnessed.

More importantly, when we return to the lows for quiet contemplation, we must not forget the achievements we once reached and must believe in our own abilities. And when we reach the heights to spread our wings and realize our ambitions, we must never forget our original intention when we first stepped into the Ferris wheel cabin.

Furthermore, it is your love and mine that keeps the Ferris wheel turning. A passion for justice, a passion for human rights, a passion for the law, and a passion for the truth are what drive this world forward continuously.

Multi-Purpose Judicial Reform Gavel

Speaking of the judiciary, the legal artifact that most people think of is undoubtedly the gavel.

The moment a judge in the courtroom strikes the gavel against its block and renders a decision undoubtedly best embodies judicial justice. However, with the passage of time and social evolution, is a simple gavel truly enough?

As JRF turns 20 today, we are introducing the "Multi-Purpose Gavel," which enhances the functions of the traditional gavel. Beyond striking the block, the Multi-Purpose Gavel can also drive the right nails into the right positions. Pliers can pull out unqualified rivets; an axe can sever the chains of improper lobbying; and a screwdriver can pry open the dark, opaque box of the judiciary.

These various tools also serve as a reminder: holding a gavel that can only strike a block does not mean holding the law or holding the truth. Beyond the gavel, one must also master other knowledge and skillfully use tools from different fields—from screwdrivers and bottle openers to files—to truly do the job well. Stepping down from the pedestal of the law and walking into the lives of ordinary people is the only way to genuinely discover the truth.
