Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, Wishing You a Happy Reunion! 20 Years of Judicial Reform, Donations Keep Love Flowing

Dear Friends,

The Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching. On this day of full moons and family reunions, we wish you a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

The most joyful event this year was undoubtedly when three courageous judges of the High Court chose September 1st—the exact date of the incident twenty years ago—to overturn previous judgments and declare Hsu Tzu-chiang not guilty in the ninth retrial! Remembering Mother Hsu, who changed her name to "Ch'en Yuan-yuan" (homophonous with "reunion" in Chinese) in hopes that her family could reunite, this not-guilty verdict represents a major step forward for Mother Hsu's family in realizing their wish to be together!

At the same time, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Judicial Reform Foundation. Seeing wrongfully accused individuals successively exonerated, the quality of justice gradually improving, and love and care continuing to flow through the judiciary—these are precisely the original intentions of JRF's founding and the best commemoration of our 20th anniversary.

To support JRF in stepping into its 21st year, Kingston Technology has generously sponsored the "JRF 20th Anniversary Kingston Limited-Edition USB Flash Drive." We are seeking 200 regular donors to join the "20 Club" and accompany us as we press forward with unremitting effort.

We will hold our 20th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, November 21st, themed "Judicial Reform Amusement Park," and invite you to join us in participating, imagining, and playing.
