Breaking the Abyss: Soaring Toward the Sun | 2024 Summer Student Camp
Last edited: 2026-07-27
On the long and arduous road of wrongful conviction rescue,
some innocent people have long had their wrongful names cleared, while others remain trapped behind bars.
Some who once sat in the audience listening to innocent individuals share their stories now stand beside them to defend their innocence.
As the Judicial Reform Foundation approaches its thirtieth anniversary, wrongful conviction rescue has consistently been one of our most concerned and core missions. Miscarriages of justice are never merely stories in the news or media; rather, they are people, events, and things surrounding us that we cannot walk away from or let go of.
For the 2024 Judicial Reform Foundation Summer Student Camp, we have invited innocent individuals who have finally cleared their names after years of wrongful conviction, those still trapped behind bars who continue to fight resolutely, and pro bono lawyers who have dedicated years to assisting numerous miscarriage-of-justice cases to share those past people, events, and objects.
Through a mock trial, we will also lead participants to personally experience the hardships of judicial adjudication and take part in social rescue for wrongful convictions.
Do you want to know why innocent people become victims? Are you curious about how the JRF assists innocent individuals? If you wish to get closer to the reality behind criminal trial practice, we invite you to join us and soar toward the sun on the path of wrongful conviction rescue!
