Workshop | Dear Body: Body Image Painting Workshop | "Prima Facie" Exhibition Satellite Event
Last edited: 2026-08-26
When you look at yourself in the mirror, what thoughts cross your mind most often?
In the "Prima Facie" exhibition, we explore wounds that are difficult for the law to understand, yet firmly remembered by the body. And those wounds gradually influence the way we view ourselves.
In our daily lives, we are also constantly bombarded with one-dimensional aesthetic standards from social media and dominant culture, unconsciously breeding anxiety and self-criticism.
In this painting workshop, the instructor will guide participants in rethinking what "body image" is, how we view our bodies, and why we view them the way we do.
Through drawing and writing, we will guide participants to look back at their own experiences: how memories of injury, illness, boundaries, the gaze of others, and self-perception have gradually shaped the relationship between us and our bodies.
We invite you to join us in practicing how to experience our bodies without judgment, and allowing our bodies to exist just as they are.
