Workshop | Chronicles of Body Grudges: How to Instigate a Rebellion Concerning "Truth" Outside the Courtroom? | PRIMA FACIE Exhibition Satellite Event
Last edited: 2026-08-26
When the law demands evidence, yet some wounds cannot be translated into words—even though they truly occurred, they can never find a place to be understood. When we talk about trauma, illness, and loss, what the body remembers is often much deeper than language.
"Crip/Queer Rupture Front" is a feminist militant front based on Crip Theory. It invites participants to look back together on the compassion and harm experienced within gender and disability, exploring those experiences overlooked by the law, the medical system, or mainstream narratives. Through collective action, participants will develop their own chronicles of body grudges, seeking recompense, revenge, and justice for their bodies.
This workshop will adopt the "comprehensive care" methodology from the Social Solidarity Clinic in Thessaloniki, Greece. Participants will form groups of four to share a topic they wish to focus on discussing, which may be a situation they are currently facing or something they want to change.
During the process, the instructor will not give directions; everyone is an expert on their own life experience. We are not in a rush to solve problems or provide advice, but rather accompany each other through questions, listening, and recording.
