"For me, this is not an emotional experience, it is a game of the law." ——Suzie Miller, Prima Facie

When sexual violence enters legal proceedings, original "trauma" is forced to be translated into "evidence." But on this relentless legal conveyor belt, whose memory is real? Whose interpretation holds power? We "originally thought" that the law was the ultimate destination of justice, only to find that it was a scorched-earth battle over reputation and the right to interpretation.

This exhibition is a collaboration between artist Lee Tzu-tung and the Judicial Reform Foundation, inviting you to step into this contest between the law and the body through two distinct spaces.

03/27 The Body’s Tale of Mercy and Vengeance: How to Instigate a Rebellion for "Truth" Outside the Courtroom

The Crip Front is a feminist combat front based on Crip Theory. Members reflect on compassion and harm within their own experiences of gender and disability, and through courses and workshop gatherings, experiment with open and shared forms of mutual aid within a gender-imbalanced legal or medical system.

The workshop "No Advise Needed" involves members working in groups of four, using the "comprehensive care" methodology from the Social Solidarity Clinic in Thessaloniki, Greece, to share a topic they wish to focus on discussing. This can be a situation they are currently facing or something they wish to change. Everyone is an expert on their own experience; others will ask questions, listen, and take notes without offering advice.

The Body’s Tale of Mercy and Vengeance is a feminist fighting club inspired by Crip Theory. The members reflect on experiences of compassion and harm within the intersections of gender and disability. Through courses and workshops, they experiment with open and shared forms of mutual aid within gender-imbalanced legal and medical systems.

The workshop on March 27, titled "No Advise Needed," will take place in groups of four. Drawing on the model of comprehensive care practiced by the Social Solidarity Clinic in Thessaloniki, Greece, participants will bring one topic they wish to focus on discussing. This may be a situation they are currently facing or something they wish to change.

Each person is an expert in their own experience. Other participants will ask questions, listen, and take notes—without offering advice.

05/02 The Difficulty of Language: Examining Gender-Based Harm Through the Lens of Shame

In the wake of the 2023 #MeToo movement, many speaking out were immediately swept into a massive "legal conveyor belt," facing judicial defense and offense that pursued evidence, logic, and consistent narratives. However, the essence of gender-based harm is often fragmented, shameful, and difficult to categorize. When legal language filters out authentic feelings that do not conform to "logic," victims frequently fall into the dilemma of loss of voice and secondary victimization.

This special exhibition, Originally Thought, specially invites renowned writer Chang Yi-hsun to approach the propositions of law and trauma from a literary perspective. This is not merely a professional academic discussion, but a "social dialogue from a literary perspective." Together, we will reflect on how to establish a public language that can truly hold harm and accommodate fragmentation, beyond the "perfect stories" demanded by the judiciary and public opinion.

06/06 Discussing Comprehensive Sexuality Education Through Board Games! "Queer Kids Arrive" Board Game Workshop | Taichung Session

Gender-equality education is not just about "whether we should teach it," but whether we can accompany children in understanding the world. When children begin to wonder "what a family is," "who can become parents," and "what bodies and reproduction are all about," do we have sufficient space and methods to accompany them in asking questions with peace of mind and discussing them freely?

The Taiwan Gender Equity Education Association and the Judicial Reform Foundation will jointly host the "'Queer Kids Arrive' Board Game Workshop | Taichung Session." Through board games and interactive experiences, we will reflect on how to discuss gender, reproduction, family, and children's rights with children, and rediscover what "comprehensive sexuality education" truly aims to address.

"Queer Kids Arrive" is a board game teaching material designed around the core concepts of comprehensive sexuality education. Through role-playing, resource gathering, and story construction, the game allows children to naturally encounter issues such as diverse families, reproductive choices, and bodily autonomy during interactive processes, cultivating the ability to understand differences and respect others.

In addition to experiencing the board game firsthand, this workshop will also foster exchanges on:
🧩 How to extend educational dialogue from gaming

🧩 How to respond to children's questions regarding sexuality education

🧩 How board game media can be applied in teaching, accompaniment, and community discussion

Whether you are a teacher, counseling worker, social worker, parent, or partner concerned about comprehensive sexuality education, you are welcome to join in and reimagine what comprehensive sexuality education looks like!

06/27 The Distance Between Punishment and Healing: Rethinking Justice for MeToo Survivors

Faced with the MeToo wave, the heightened emotions of the public often expect public trial and severe judicial punishment to bring justice. But can a bloodthirsty social sentiment truly trade for justice for victims?

This lecture invites Peng Jen-yu, associate research fellow at the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica, who has long researched sexual violence. Starting from the frontline of trauma healing, she explores the distance between the "justice" expected by victims and the "punishment" imagined by the general public: Are the designs of the judicial and care systems ready to receive victims? Can society's excessive desire for punishment bring true trauma recovery and accountability to victims?

This lecture invites you to collectively reimagine "justice" and "healing," and to see the possibilities of how we respond to the MeToo wave.
