International Exchange
In 2024, JRF stood out among 424 civil society organizations across 109 countries to win the World Justice Challenge, a major international project competition organized by the World Justice Project (WJC) centered on the theme of "The Rule of Law: Foundation of Democracy." In 2025, we also participated in the global forum as an alumnus—being the sole representative organization from Taiwan—to discuss, draw lessons from, and exchange insights on the current status and challenges of rule of law reform with organizations worldwide.
From focusing solely on domestic legislative reform in the past, JRF now actively practices and leverages the power of international conventions, hoping to align Taiwan's human rights and rule of law standards with the international community. Across various legislative issues, we utilize comparative law and participate in international seminars to both export and import crucial legal reforms. In 2025, we notably engaged in discussions with digital experts from around the globe at the RightsCon summit on digital human rights. We value not only our domestic work, but also ensure that our local human rights and rule of law efforts connect with the international community, establishing Taiwan as a beacon of human rights and the rule of law in East Asia.
