Student Summer Camp
Why Do We Hold a Student Summer Camp?
Judicial reform requires more people to see, more people to understand, and more people to get involved. However, for many young students, law and justice remain distant and unfamiliar concepts.
JRF believes that nurturing a young generation sensitive to justice is one of the most crucial long-term tasks in promoting reform. Through our summer camps, we hope that high school and vocational students will have the opportunity to encounter real judicial issues before entering university and society—from wrongful conviction rescue to human rights protection, and from courtroom observation to legal critical thinking.
Each camp features different themes that echo the most discussed judicial issues of that year, keeping the curriculum closely aligned with the pulse of the times and allowing participants to return to daily life with a genuine sense of problem awareness.
Camp Features
Contemporary Judicial Issue Courses
Each session focuses on a contemporary judicial or human rights issue, inviting practicing attorneys and legal scholars for in-depth lectures.
Real Case Analysis & Discussion
Using real wrongful conviction and human rights cases tracked by JRF as discussion materials to train critical thinking.
Moot Court & Role-Playing
Personally acting out roles such as judges, attorneys, and defendants to experience judicial procedures and deepen understanding.
Close Interaction with Legal Professionals
Direct interaction with JRF lawyer volunteers and staff to understand the front lines of judicial reform.
Curriculum Arrangement
JRF's summer student camps typically consist of several days of intensive courses, primarily targeting high school and vocational school students. The curriculum for each session is adjusted based on the annual theme, covering diverse formats such as lectures, group discussions, moot courts, or field visits.
Past themes have included: Citizen Judge System, AI Digital Rule of Law, Gender and Justice, Wrongful Conviction Rescue, and Capital Punishment Issues. Updated with the times each year, we ensure participants engage with the most realistic judicial topics. The curriculum emphasizes interactive participation rather than one-way lecturing, allowing participants to enter with questions and leave with reflections.
For registration methods and annual recruitment information, please keep an eye on the latest announcements on the JRF official website and social media.
