Trainee Lawyer Visits

Trainee Lawyer Visits

The Judicial Reform Foundation (hereinafter referred to as JRF) has been established for twenty-eight years this year. The progress of judicial reform has been sometimes fast and sometimes slow, with occasional achievements and moments of discouragement. Regardless, over the past nearly thirty years, a large number of attorney volunteers have tirelessly participated in various judicial reform initiatives, dedicating their efforts to individual case rescue, bill advocacy, evaluation, and legal education. Senior attorneys joining hands with junior attorneys form the most beautiful scenery of the JRF, and represent the position where legal professionals stand shoulder-to-shoulder, pass down their legacy, and steadfastly hold their ground on the path of Taiwan's transition from the martial law era to a democratic society and towards judicial democratization. Over the years, the JRF has organized numerous attorney exchange visits featuring content such as internships and practice sharing, pro bono participation, and practical courses.

Learning Attorney Visits
Senior and Junior Attorneys, Hand in Hand to Pass Down Judicial Reform

Over the years, the JRF has regularly organized pre-employment training exchange and visit activities for attorneys, inviting senior practicing attorneys to share their practical experience and accompany prospective attorneys about to embark on their legal careers in shaping their imagination of professional practice.

Why Do We Need Learning Attorney Visits?

In recent years, facing the current reality of a high volume of passing attorneys, apart from reviewing and improving legal education and systems, we can also provide greater support to novice attorneys.

Having been established for thirty years, the Judicial Reform Foundation has experienced the progress of judicial reform as either fast or slow, with occasional achievements and moments of discouragement. Over the past nearly thirty years, a large number of attorney volunteers have tirelessly participated in various types of judicial reform work, continuing their efforts across positions in individual case rescue, bill advocacy, judge evaluation, and legal education. Senior attorneys joining hands with junior attorneys is the most beautiful scenery of the JRF, and represents the position where legal professionals stand shoulder-to-shoulder, pass down their legacy, and steadfastly hold their ground on the path of Taiwan's transition from the martial law era to a democratic society and towards judicial democratization.

JRF Exchange Visit Activities

Over the years, the JRF has organized numerous attorney exchange visits, with content including internship and practice sharing, pro bono participation, and practical courses, among others.

Every year, after the release of the bar examination results, those who pass the examination must still undergo attorney training and internships before formally obtaining their licenses. During the training period, apart from making many like-minded partners, it is also a time to develop different imaginations of attorney practice.

The JRF regularly organizes exchange visits for every term and cohort of attorney pre-employment training. This is an opportunity for us to interact with prospective attorneys undergoing training—hoping through this activity to alleviate doubts and anxieties regarding internships or early practice, invite senior practicing attorneys to share their practice experience with attorneys about to take their first steps, and allow future prospective attorneys to understand industry conditions, interact with one another, and thereby expand their imagination for career planning.
